As a petite woman, it is overwhelming to find the best fitting in some clothings. So, if you are 5ft3in like me and under, then we are counted as Petite. I am living here in Europe, and sometimes during the weekend, when I want to unwind and buy some clothes in the shopping malls, I find it difficult to find my equivalent size in the standard collections, because it doesn’t always work. It takes much more time and effort to shop for petite clothes, and as much as I wanted to avoid tailoring yet I have been to the Tailor several times to do some adjustments.
So, to make our lives as Petite women little easier, Here are my go-tos, and I’ve also searched the best brands to shop, in any price range, style preference and need.
- Sezane – My favourite French brand, that has now several branches in the US and other countries. Their collections are inspired by beloved French classics, this is my go to brand to shop for tops/blouses.

- Karen Millen – I bought a dress from Karen Millen, and it is of high quality, after 5 years, I still get to wear it like new. It is indeed a high-street hero. It has a dedicated petite section to love, from dresses to tailored pieces.

- From Future – Please don’t tell me that I am biased but this in one of my favourite French brand. They have products that are 100% silk, and 100% cashmere. Their goal is to offer quality clothing, produced in a sustainable way, that is why the large majority of their products are made up of 100% noble, natural materials which do not come from petrochemicals. And they have a lot of choices for tops, and dresses in petite size, I bought a silk dress in size small and it fits me perfectly.

- Asos – Scroll to their clothing tab and find a huge selection under the petite section, with various choices of absolute best clothes for our smaller frame. It has a lot of affordable choices and styles to choose from depending on your need.

- Topshop – has been know for its petite section, which is reliable for its size, though its stores were closed, you can find the brand on Asos, you would see that the clothings will fit your frame very well.
- Petite Studio – a New York based clothing wear line only dedicated to Petite women. It offers fashionable petite clothing for women, from petite dresses and sweaters to petite pants and blouses, plus these are ethically made, so you can purchase with ease and good confidence.

- Next – has always been the go to on the high street fashion. You can find jumpsuits, maxi and mini dresses, designed to fit for Petites.

- New Look – It has a dedicated tab on the menu for ‘’Petite’’ with wide various selections. The best selling clothes even have the petite version which is very friendly for us petite women, there you can find trench coats and jeans for your frame.

- Everlane – It has a petite section, when it comes to the sizing and length choice for example with the pants. It in another retailer that offers wide variety of clothing from casual workwear, jeans, dresses and the like.

- Ann Taylor – when you head to their website you can spot directly the dedicated menu for Petite. It offers wide variety of looks from office attire, classic dresses, midi skirts that fits your best shape.

Buying in petite shops and investing in clothes that are specifically tailored to our frame saves us a lot of time and effort, and frustration 🙂
