What to wear with a White Denim mini skirt for a petite lady in Summer? When indeed mini skirt and mini dresses are a go to staple for a petite lady in summer as it elongates our legs, there is a thin line of wearing it while still looking casually elegant, vs wearing it while looking like someone is off to the beach.ย
My Sizing: Iโm 5โ3โ, and my bust, waist, and hip measurements are 34โณ, 26โณ, and 34โณ. I have an inverted triangle body shape which is characterised by broad shoulders and bust that narrows down to the hips. I will discuss more in details about the styling and body shape in another topic.ย
So here we go, I am sharing what to wear with a White Denim Mini Skirt, while still looking casually elegant, for a casual day out/night out in Summer. ย
- Striped white blue shirt – I got this from Stradivarius in size small.ย
- White Denim Mini Skirt – I also got this skirt from Stradivarius in size 36.ย
Since I had an oversized striped white and blue shirt on top, and I have an inverted triangle body shape, I need to make sure I emphasize my waist by cinching my figure in at this point with a brown belt.ย
- Brown Belt – I make it high waisted. As a petite woman, and as mentioned on the other blog about denim mini skirt, I have short legs, and there are two basic ways I can extend the eyeline to make me appear taller in an outfit. First down with Highheels and/or up with a highwaist. On this outfit It is through a black belt from Stradivarius also.ย
- White Ballerina – This Ballerina is from Guess. Aside from it being comfortable to wear, the colour matches with the Outfit, giving an almost monochromatic look.ย
And to complete the outfit, I paired it with my YSL Envelope medium shoulder bag in caramel color. ย
